Soul encounters
Have you ever read the Bible and felt inadequate? I remember, when I was very young, having to memorise 1 Corinthians chapter 13, so that I could recite it in Army meetings. And every time I reeled it off, I remember being painfully aware of how far short I fell of that amazing standard of love. Certain parts of the Bible still have that effect on me, but over the years I've found one part which never fails to reassure me, and that is the book of Psalms. Over the next few weeks, we will be sampling some of these very real, very personal encounters with God, which give endless hope to inadequates like myself!
